• Ballet

    Ballet is a classical and disciplined form of dance that originated in the 15th century. Classical ballet is the foundation for all other forms of dance. It encourages proper body alignment, balance, strength and flexibility. Students grow their self confidence through discipline, and elegant training. Ballet typically tells stories through musicality, and often features graceful leaps, turns, and extensions. Highly encouraged for all of our dancers!

  • Jazz

    Jazz dance includes strength, flexibility and technique into a well rounded class that is a stepping stone to many other styles. Jazz skills progressions include turns, kicks and leaps. In Jazz class dancers also train in choreography and style often using more upbeat music. This style pulls from ballet, modern, and tap to create a well rounded and sophisticated dancer.

  • Tap

    Tap dance is a percussive form of dance in which dancers grow their musicality and rhythm. Through intricate footwork and precise movements, tap dancers use their feet like musical instruments, producing a captivating and unique form of self-expression. This lively and engaging dance style has a rich history and continues to be appreciated for its artistry and entertainment value.

  • Hip Hop

    Hip-hop is an upbeat stylized class that offers dancers the opportunity to showcase their individuality, creativity, and personal style. Hip hop is a highly diverse and ever-evolving art form. Hip-hop dance is a powerful form of self-expression that reflects the experiences and emotions of its performers, and it has become a global phenomenon, influencing mainstream dance, music videos, and popular culture worldwide.

  • Lyrical

    Lyrical dance is a graceful and emotive dance style that fuses elements of ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance. It is characterized by its expressive storytelling nature, with dancers interpreting the lyrics and emotions of music through their movements. Lyrical dance often features fluid and flowing motions, as well as subtle and controlled gestures, to convey a strong sense of connection between the dance and the emotion.

  • Modern

    Modern dance is a revolutionary and expressive dance style that emerged in the early 20th century as a transition from the structure of classical ballet. It prioritizes individuality, creativity, and self-expression, allowing dancers to break free from traditional ballet techniques and explore a wide range of movements. Modern dance emphasizes natural and organic movements, incorporating elements such as floor work, contractions, spirals, and improvisation. As a constantly evolving art form, modern dance continues to push boundaries and challenge conventions.

  • Contemporary

    Contemporary dance is a genre of dance that emerged in the mid-20th century as a departure from traditional dance forms. It emphasizes freedom of expression, versatility, and creativity. Unlike more classical dance styles, contemporary dance often lacks strict rules or techniques, allowing dancers to explore a wide range of movements and themes. Dancers blend elements from various dance styles, including ballet, modern dance, and even improvisation, to convey emotions and tell stories through their bodies' fluid and organic movements.

  • Acro

    Acro dance is a captivating dance style that combines elements of acrobatics and dance. It blends the fluidity and artistry of dance with the strength, flexibility, and tumbling skills of acrobatics. Acro dancers perform a wide range of tricks, such as (but not limited to) aerials, cartwheels, handstands, walkovers and balances, seamlessly integrated into choreography. This unique fusion of athleticism and grace requires a solid foundation in both dance and acrobatics, making it a challenging and visually impressive form of performance art.

  • Conditioning

    An opportunity for dancers to focus on specific exercises that will help them become stronger, more adept dancers. This strength based class includes barre work, aerobic exercises, flexibility, and strength training. *Required for all TEDS competition team members.

  • Pointe

    In a Pointe class students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. These exercises focus on strengthening the feet and ankles. Pointe requires diligent practice, each student will be instilled with the foundations of the style to ensure strong and safe technique.

  • Jazz/Hip Hop

    For our younger dancers who are new to both the styles of Jazz or HipHop* This hybrid class is a fun introduction to a more stylized, sharp, and fast paced class. Students will learn the foundations of jazz dance while incorporating some hip hop elements as well.

  • Private Lessons

    Private lessons available in multiple genres upon request. Please consult with your teachers for further information.

    1 hour: $110

    ½ hour: $60
